MEN BEHAVING BADLY
Am I surprised that Tiger Woods has been taking a mulligan on his marriage vows? No, such being the times we live in. Am I disappointed? Yes, very much so. Am I sick of men behaving badly? Absolutely.
None of this is new. For as long as there have celebrities there have been sex scandals involving celebrities. This year seems to have yielded a bumper crop of scandals, but this latest one with Tiger hits especially hard.
I feel especially bad for all the kids who looked up to Tiger as a role model, both as an athlete and as a person. Sure, he had a penchant for cuss words and you figured that his driven nature had to have an outlet, but this was totally unexpected.
Of course, maybe I’m just naïve. One thing for sure, I am sick and tired of men in public positions who don't understand the most fundamental code of conduct: To those whom much is given, much is expected.
Tiger, we hardly knew ye. I just wish you had kept it that way.
